Community Care Campaign

At the start of the pandemic, Somos Tejas saw an opportunity to organize and positively impact the well-being of our community. Our Community Care Canvassing campaign is year-round and launched in June 2020. Each month, we canvass historically under-represented neighborhoods, with an aim of empowering Nuestra Gente with civic engagement information and health resources available to them regardless of income or legal status.
